Aloha

Internet has changed the live of many people. Not always in just a positive way, but until now I have found more advantages then disadvantages. Without internet I wouldn't be writing  this text and the same goes for thousands of fellow bloggers. Withour internet a lot of bands would only be known locally. So, it's not so strange that most bands spend a lot of time, money and energy in a website of their own. It strikes me however that there are still some bands who don't have their own website. For instance Aloha, they also only have a page on MySpace and another one on the website of Polyvinyl, their record company.

Aloha is about ten years old and at the moment the band consists of the two founders  Tony Cavallario and Matthew Gengler, Cale Parks and the newest member T.J. Lipple. The bands origin is in Ohio, but at the moment the band members live scattered around the States. They still find the time and opportunity to spend most of their time playing music together. Up till now they have produced four albums and half a dozen ep's. The latest full-length cd by Aloha was "Some Echoes" from April 2006 and this week the new EP "Light Works" will be released. This record contains seven melodic, moody popsongs and the opening track "Body Buzz" is an excellent example of the rest of the songs.
