It's very boring when you have to do the same job all the times. It's very monotonous f you have to watch or listen to the same thing over and over again. Always steak is not very good. Thanks to the film 'Modern Times' (1936) from Charlie Chaplin I wouldn't like to work at an conveyer belt in a factory. That's also why I don't like hardcore techno, hard house, jumpstyle and other kinds of music with a repetitive beat of the bass drum. That doesn't mean I don't like music with drumcomputers, just not all of the time or too much. Like the music of a faulty chromosome.
It's a band formed by three men from Austin, Texas or Burbank, California (that's not all clear to me). That's all I know about a faulty chromosome (written with small letters, yes). Their music sounds like a mix of New Order and the Feelies with some small influences of shoegaze from a band like My Bloody Valentine. Or like someone else wrote: this is how the Velvet Underground would have sounded in the nineties.
The first album by a faulty chromosome has been given the unpronounceable title "as an ex-anorexic's six sicks exit, ...". This self-released CD can also be downloaded from the MySpace-page of the band. Like Radiohead a few months ago, they ask a donation and when this donation is $6,66 they won't lose money. But you can start by listening to the two songs below.
