There are a lot of music blogs on the world wide web and some of these blogs are about indie music like mine. As far as I know there are just a half a dozens of them in Dutch and I suppose I'm the only one who both writes in Dutch and in English. I try to avoid writing about new bands who were already mentioned by fellow bloggers. But it can't be avoided completely because we're all fishing in the samen indie sea. I now that the Swedish band Days has been reviewed in other indieblogs, but that doesn't mean I can't also write about them.
Fabian Sahlqvist, John Ludvigsson, Philip Gates and Andréas Uppman Nilsson from Gothenburg are Days and their debut album has been anticipated for a long time now. This is maninly because their label Shelflife Records (which was relaunched last year) has announced the release for several months. The new Shelflife has released three records till now and they all consist of a CD plus a vinyl 7 inch in a package which was designed by a specially selected artist. "Downhill" from Days contains seven songs: five on the CDEP and two on the 7". It's possible that you have already downloaded the track "Simple Thing" because it has been available for some time. Now you can also listen to the title track on the MySpace-page from Days.
These two songs make clear that it's a very nice indieband. Tweepop like the legendary The Field Mice used to make and like it's so often produced in Scotland and Sweden.
