Headlights

Headlights Most bands I write about are unknown, at least to me. That's why I write about them. Famous bands don't need the support of this simple blogger. I haven't counted them but I suppose at least fifty percent of the bands I write about have just released their debut album. This means that the most of them are new bands and there's not always a lot information to be found. That's no real problem because I have no intention to write posts with more than 150 to 300 words. You should be able to read in a few minutes. Despite this, sometimes I'm glad when I find a band I already know. Often because I've written about them before, in Hot Stof version 1 or for File Under. In the case of Headlights even for both. The review of the CD "Kill Them With Kindness" was actually my own debut on FU. In the spring of 2007, after more than 300 live-shows in two and a half year Tristan Wraight, Erin Fein and Brett Sanderson started writing and recording again. The second album "Some Racing, Some Stopping" from Headlights is finished now and will be released by Polyvinyl Record Co next week. When I started writing the first draft of this post I had only heard the track "Cherry Tulips" but one day later I received a promotial copy and now I know that they again have produced a beautiful album. Pretty uncomplicated pop music. By the way, I also read that Headlights isn't a threesome anymore. To produce the sound from the records on stage, they have extended the band with Nick Sanborn and John Owen.
