Rafter

As long as I can remember I've been interested in popmusic. As a kid I listened to the records of my parents. Maybe it wasn't my kind of music, but what does a kid of six years or something like that know. Of course I'm a passive music lover, but you also need them or else the active music lover wouldn't have an audience. Rafter Roberts is such an active music lover and he's been making music all of his life. He supposedly already played in a band when he was two years old. In highschool in Sebastopol, California he played in the local punkband Faucet, nut he left them and went to New York City. Over there he also spent his time making music and when he returned to the west he started working as a composer of music for commercials. But he also build a recording studio in San Diego with his friend Glen, he is a producer and of course he's also active as a musician. Solo as Rafter and with Emily Joyce in Bunky.

As solo artist Rafter is also very productive. His first album "10 Songs" was released in September 2006. One year ago he made album number two "Music for Total Chickens" and now number three "Sex Death Cassette" was released. All three CDs have been released at Astmatic Kitty Records.

The music of Rafter isn't easy to describe. Some songs are ordinary, nice popsongs, but you can hear that he has a punk background and he isn't afraid of some experimenting. Below are the three first tracks of each album, starting with the latest.
