Hammer No More the Fingers

I've written about my love for trios in earlier posts of Heet Stof. I like bands with just a simple line-up who produce full and powerful rockmusic. I think they are often a lot better then bands who use a dozen of instruments to make the same kind of music. The absolut best trio in the history of rock of course is Cream, but there were more fine rock threesomes. My opinion about these small bands was confirmed again today when I discovered the music of Hammer No More the Fingers.

Drummer/singer Jeff Stickley, singer/bass player E. Duncan Webster and guitarist/singer Joe Hall are from Durham, North Carolina and they started making music together some fourteen years ago. But they are just about 24 years old and this means they started when they were ten years old. However Hammer No More the Fingers isn't one uear old yet because they met each other again after their studies and earlier music careers in 2006. The three guys make short, catchy rocksongs like you can hear on their debut EP which is also called "Hammer No More the Fingers". This CD was released with Power Team Records yesterday.
