The Buddyrevelles

Buddyrevelles

Almost every evening I sit at my  MacBook Pro trying to write something about indie music. I have to work on monday evening but I usually have some time for a music review the rest of the week. On weekdays I mainly write for Heet Stof and in weekend I have some extra time to review one or two CDs for File Under. I try to listen to new music almost every opportunity I get and the best bands end up on my list of bands I want to write about. The Buddyrevelles are also on that list.

Scott Hoch, Dan Reinholdt and Aaron Grant have been together as The Buddyrevelles for ten years now. When they released their debut album "September, November" in 1998 they moved to Chicago, Illinois from  Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Two years later they released "American Matador", but after that they didn't make any more records for a while. This silent period is finally over because CD number three "Don't Quit" will be released on Solitaire Records (of which I can't find any website) next week.

The music of The Buddyrevelles sounds a lot less muddy than the publicity pictures. It's very nice indie rock like you could know from bands like Pernice Brothers.
