In the second half of the seventies the world was rudely awaken by punk. The good citizens were shocked by the images of Johnny Rotten, spitting and cursing on the television. The endless songs of the symphonic rockgroups who had dominated the progressive music scene since the end of the sixties had to be stopped. The songs had to be short and without any guitar or drum solo. Now we're thirty years further and most music styles seems to be able to excist next to each other. Punkrock isn't from the United Kingdom anymore, but from the US or... from New Zealand because that's where Die! Die! Die! comes from.Andrew Wilson, Michael Prain and Lachlan Anderson are from Dunedin, but they have spent a lot of time on the American continent the last several of years. Two years ago Die! Die! Die! for Chicago ato finish their self-titled debut album with Steve Albini. After that they started touring and they were the support act for Blood Brothers, Wire, Slint and others. In the summer of 2007 the three men started recording the songs for their new album "Promises, Promises" and this CD has just been released on S.A.F. Records. Nice, short punk rock songs with several highlights like "A.T.T.I.T.U.D.", "Echo Echo" and "Maybe: Definitely".
