Foot Foot

footfoot It isn't strange that someone should get involved with a colleague. Usually you'll see the people you work with more often than your friends. Besides, colleagues often have the same interest and they always have something to talk about. However, I'm not sure if it's good to work with your partner. You see each other at home and at work and that's a lot. But it happens quiet often and you'll find several music making couples in the (indie)music scene, like Josh and Robin Brown.
This duo from Los Angeles, California produces music under the name Foot Foot. Their third self-produced album has been released last month. Their first record was a demo which they'd recorded in one week with damaged instruments. The music on their second album "Snaggle and Buck" (2006, Oedipus Records) sounded a lot more plished, but the songs were still somewhat rough. The third album by Foot Foot is called "Trumpet" and they continue the path they followed with the last CD. The new album contains songs with loud drums and guitars, but also songt with softly fingerpicked murmurings. This can also be foudn in the double meaning of the title: loud horns and the hearing trumpet used by the deaf to hear the muffled sounds. I can imagine Josh and Robin sitting on their porch at night's, playing this often very cosy Americana-like music. This new CD by Foot Foot has been released on Oedipus/Aagoo Records.
