Looker

Looker I suppose The Runaways were the first successful girlband in rock music, a few years later followed by other bands like The Go-Go's, The Bangles, Babes in Toyland and The Breeders. When you look at it closely there are not that much all-girl bands and the last band doesn't actually belong in this list because the drummer was a guy. This also means that Looker isn't a female band either, because they also have a male drummer.
Looker comes from New York City and the band is formed by Boshra AlSaadi, Nicole Greco, AJ Lambert and Robbie Overbey. The band was founded almost five years ago by childhood friends Boshra and Nicole. The music they make, sounds very similar to the music of the bands I mentioned above. Their first records were the EP's "...On the Pull" and "Looker" and their debut album "Born Too Late" was self-released in 2007. But Looker is very active in the recording studio because some months ago they released the single "After My Divorce" and a week or so ago they did put out the second single "Gates of the Old City/Help Me Roada". Both singles were released by Serious Bussines Records and you'll find the A-side of both singles below.
