What is real rock music? Is this the original rock 'n roll which was made at the end of the fifties or is it still possible to make real rock today? Of course! Real rockmusic it first of all simple. Maybe we shall have to make a different category of this kind of music with two guitars, a bass guitar and drums. And one of the guitar players is also the singer of the band. We can immediately put the Chicago-based band Mannequin Men in the gallery of fame of real rockmusic. Guitarist/vocalist Kevin Richard, guitarist Ethan D'Ercole, drummer Seth Bohn and bassist Rick Berger are making honest, simple rockmusic since their start in 2003. Last year saw the release of their debut album "Showbiz Witch" and two months ago they released their second album "Fresh Rot" on the indie label Flameshovel. Maybe Mannequin Men isn't the most fitting name for these four men because I don't think that a lot of girls will be hanging their poster on their bedroom wall. But maybe Mannequin Men could be very successful in the search of America's Next Top Real Rock Band.
