Myracle Brah

Many fellow music bloggers are making and publishing their best-of-lists at the moment. I don't like such lists because they don't tell me much. Of course I've heard a number of bands and CDs in 2007 which belong to 'the best of the year' and I've even written as much several times. But you can't make a real year list if you haven't heard 'everything' of that year or if you've asked the opinion of hundreds or thousands of others. And i don't want to do that. This is my own indieblog and I've chosen the bands I review myself. Maybe I'll make a short list of bands who are worth mentioning again. That's what I did last year. And I suppose it's a coincidence that I've heard some of the best music of this year the last week. Today I've struck gold again.

Myracle Brah is the musical project of singer, songwriter and guitarist Andy Bopp from Baltimore, Maryland. At the start of the band at the end of the nineties Myracle Brah came second after Lovenut, the other band Andy was a member of. Nowadays he can pay his attention solely to MB. Andy describes his life like "I was born. I make records. The end." After two albums with Lovenut, he has now produced his seventh album with  Myracle Brah and it's title is "Can You Hear the Myracle Brah?". This CD is released with  Rainbow Quartz. The music of Andy Bopp and his band(s) is almost always described as  indie-pop, power-pop, guitar-pop with references to The Byrds, The Beatles and Teenage Fanclub. What mote do you want? At least two songs from the new album and the classic "Independance Day" from the CD "Bleeder" from 2002.
