Every human being is unique. Even if you're half of a twin, you're not 100% the same as your brother or sister. Scientists are not yet ready for cloning people and this means every person is still unique. But I'm also pretty convinced that there are not much people who are unique in their work or art. How often did I write about an musician who writes his own songs, plays the guitar, bass, piano and drums and records his own songs in his own studio. Most of them start when they're between 14 and 17 years old and they release their first album when they're about twenty. This is for the greatest part also the biografy of Nik Freitas.Nik Freitas is born and raised in central California and he shall release his latest "Sun Down" soon. This is not his first CD, it was preceded by "Here's Laughing at You" (2002), "Heavy Mellow" (2003), "Voicing the Hammers" (2005) and "Shoe Be Do Bop" (2007). This last one is an EP and was only available at live shows. The first two albums were released by local label Future Farmer and the new CD will be released by Team Love Records from Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) early May. The pleasant music of Nik Freitas has been influenced by David Bowie and The Beatles (mainly John Lennon, I think). Not unique, but still very beautiful.
