Pants Yell!

Pants_Yell by Heather Parker

It's weekend again. A few days to take it easy. To do some shopping and chores in and around the house, make some visits and the rest of the time I'll be spending on music. It's something I'm doing almost two years now and I still like it a lot. That doesn't mean that I like everyting I hear, but I often come across some fantastic songs. Songs I want to share with others. A little while ago I read that Pants Yell! had made a new album and I think you'll have to know about it.

Pants Yell! comes from Cambridge, Massachusetts and has been founded about four years ago by Andrew Churchman and Sterling Bryant. They released the cassette "Our Horse Calls" in 2003 and it was followed by the CDs "Songs for Siblings" (2004) and the beautiful "Recent Drama" (2006). Both albums were released on the fantastic Asaurus label. Now Pants Yell! has recorded their new album "Allison Statton" opgenomen with their new drummer Casey Keenan and it will be released on Soft Abuse in two weeks. The lady from the title was singer of Young Marble Giants. With this album Andrew Churchman has proved again that he's one of the best songwriters of this time. If you don't believe me, you just have to listen to the songs below.

>mp3: Magenta and Green (van "Allison Statton")

>mp3: Kids Are the Same (van "Recent Drama")

>mp3: My Boyfriend Writes Plays (van "Songs for Siblings")
