It's time for some real indie music. I don't mean the indie music by the very broad definition I usually write about, but the indiepop which is promoted on websites like indiepages.com. Light, often cheerful sounding popmusic made by a band with a singer-guitarist-bassist-drummer line-up. I don't want to limite myself on Heet Stof, but this is also the music I like to review the most. That's why I was glad that Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin has released a new album.Philip Dickey, Will Knauer, John Robert Cardwell and Jonathan James started recording popsongs some three years ago. The first thing I noticed was their name: Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin (or SSLYBY), but when I listened to their music I immediately became a fan. SSLYBY made their debut on Polyvinyl Records in October 2006 with the album "Broom" of which you can hear the song "Oregon Girl" one more time below. The band will release their second album "Pershing" this week and I've heard some very nice songs from this CD on the MySpace-page of SSLYBY. The title from the first song below has nothing to do with the feeling I got when I heard it for the first time.
