The Diggs

DiggsSometimes I feel just like a talent scout. Every week I hear very much new bands and new music and every time I hope that I'll discover something fantastic. I'm very glad that I can call 'Wow!' sometimes, but of course there's also a lot of music which doesn't satisfy my rather flexible criteria. There's at least one advantage to the large amount of new music I hear: I'm able to forget the mediocre music fast. I'm not sure how long I will remember The Diggs.
The Diggs is a threesoem (again!) from Brooklyn which are making music since 2003. The band consists of Timothy Lannen (guitar/vocals), Robert Haussmann (bass) and Charlie Schmid (percussion) since September 2004. After a few EPs they released their debut album "Commute" early 2006 and next March they will release their second album "Ctrl-Alt-Del" with Sugarspun Records. At home I use a MacBook and if I didn't work with Windows at my work, I wouldn't even know what this title means. However, the music of The Diggs is no computer music and it doesn't need no resetting. It's just nice and straight forward powerrock.
