Travelling around and making music. It might be a dream for many boys and girls. But it will probably stay a dream for most of them, because the chance of success is very small. Just a few of them can earn enough money to keep on travelling. Maybe you'll have a better chance solo, as a singer/songwriter, but a it's a lot harder as a band. But a performance of such a singer or band is very much fun. For instance, I would like to see a show by The Felice Brothers.
Maybe it doesn't look like it, but this post about The Felice Brothers after yesterday's piece is completely coincidence. I get the same wonderful feeling from their music and the reference to Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan (from the time of "Desire") isn't strange here. The brothers Simone, Ian and James Felice are from the Catskills in the state of New York and together with the young dice-thrower called Christmas they've played on the streets of New York City. Their first album “The Adventures of the Felice Brothers Vol 1" was only available at their shows, but in May 2007 they released "Tonight at the Arizona" on the English label Loose Music. Now they've also signed with the American Team Love Records and that's where their new album "The Felice Brothers" will be released. You can hear beautiful Americana-music on these CDs. Below are not just two mp3's, but also a nice video. You can find some more videos of performances of The Felice Brothers on YouTube.
