Well, I'm back. The flu kept me from listening to unknown music the last week and writing for this blog was impossible. I'm sorry. I'm not completely well yet, but it looks like it will be over by Christmas. The last thing I discovered before the flu got to me was The Out_Circuit.
From 1993 to 1999 Nathan Burke was active in Frodus, a punkband from Washington DC. A few months after this band disbanded, Nathan started a new project with the name The Out_Circuit. First he worked together with drummer Andy Gale. Nathan played all other instruments. In 2001 they released their first "Burn Your Scripts, Boys". At the present time Nathan and his wife Rachel are living in Seattle, Washington and his new album "Pierce the Empire with a Sound" is just finished. The CD will be available worldwide in February but you can already order a copy on the website of Lujo Records. You can hear that he started as a punkrock musician, but the music of The Out_Circuit is much more. Dreamy ambient next to heavy hardcore. An interesting combination.
