The Pharmacy

I haven't spend much time on this spot the last few days. I wasn't able to write a post because of my busy job. But now the weekend has started and I'll do my best to write some nice pieces the next few days. It has nothing to do with a lack of new, unknown and interesting bands with new releases. You don't have to search the internet too long to find some very nice things. Like The Pharmacy from Seattle, Washington.

I'm not sure it's a coincidence that this is again a trio. Singer/guitarist Scott Yoder, drummer/singer Brendhan Bowers en keyboard player Stefan Rubicz produce fine psychedlic powerpop. The Pharmacy was founded in 2003 and they spend the first yeard mainly on the road. The music on their debut album "B.F.F." from 2005 sounded a lot heavier, but they have changed their style, maybe also because the arriving of Rubicz. After some years in the making the new album "Choose Yr Own Adventure" from The Pharmacy is finally finished and since a month or so for sale at Don't Stop Believin' Records. The use of violins, cellos and horns has richened the sound a lot. Writing for this indieblog is sometimes a lot of work, but everytime I come across this kind of bands I know it wasn't in vain.
