The Salteens

Salteens I'm very glad that my mood doesn't depend on the weather and I don't need no light therapy in the winter. But I to want spring to come very fast when winter seems to be over, when the first day with temperature above 10 degrees Celsius has arrived. But it's also not impossible that there are some more winter days to come. It's not even March yet. And if I need cheering up, I will play some happy music. For instance the music of The Salteens. This band from Vancouver, Canada is formed over ten years ago and the current line-up is Scott Walker, Rob Calder, Brent Follet, Kevin Cooper and Carrie Tennant. Their debut album "Short-Term Memories" was released in 2000 with Endearing Records and three years later Boompa Records released "Let Go of Your Bad Days". This is more than four years ago and it's time for a new record. The Salteens have chosen a different approach now. The have the intention to record two songs each month for a year. They will be made available for free download as soons as they're done. The first two songs are the 'single' "Hallowed Ways" and the 'b-side' "Sunnyside St.", both very sunny songs for free. Put the website of The Salteens with your Bookmarks or Favorites and visit this website every month to download the new songs as soon as they're online.
