I hate people who use difficult words. Politicians, public servants, lawyers and other men and women who want to show that they have learned large words. I think it's a greater problem in the Dutch language but I suppose there are also such people in English speaking countries. There's nothing you can't just as well explain in simple words and shorter sentences.
I tell the same to my foreign students who are learning Dutch as a second language. First learn to express yourself in simple words and sentences. The long words and sentences can be learned later. Now to music. I don't hate difficult music but I do prefer simple songs. This means The Terrordactyls are allright.
Michael Cadiz from Baltimore, Maryland on the east coast of the US and Tyrel Stendahl from Tukwila, Washington on the west coast. The met at highschool at Vashon Island (also in the state of Washington) and that's in fact were they started what is now called The Terrordactyls. The duo produces short, mainly acoustic songs with simple melodies and nice and simple lyrics. And even the package is simple. The drawing on the cover of the album is white with a simple drawing of some kind of flying dinosaur and the name of the band. This self-titled album is released by Pankof Records. "Simply the Best" is absolut not my favourite song, but it's very appropriate for The Terrordactyls.
